Code Configuration
Public Protection Assure allows certain code lists to be restricted by department, application, task group, task and area. In some cases, codes can be restricted to a combination of task and area or task group and area.
The code lists that can be restricted in ASSURE are listed below:
- Actions
- Areas
- Document Types
- Officers
- Outcomes
These code lists do not have to be configured at any level however, if Code Configuration isn't set, both authority and applicant users will see all the codes that are listed (and not set to Authority Only, for customers). For some of these code lists, there may be tens if not hundreds of codes active in Public Protection so the user experience will be impacted poorly.
Useful Information
The most specific level of configuration always takes precedence. That means that if configuration for Officers for department Environmental Protection were to be added for a set list of officer names but different configuration was already set at Task and Area level, the lower Task and Area level would take precedence.
ASSURE uses certain terminology that you will need to understand in order to configure codes in the way needed.
Application | The module in ASSURE Public Protection, such as Licensing, Accidents, etc. Note: the Enquiries module is known as Complaints - EH (legacy terminology), Grants & Loans is known as Private Sector Housing. See Online Support for the full list. |
Task Group |
System Administrators create task groups that can group together clusters of task types within an application. For example, Colchester has a task group for every service in Complaints - EH such as Enquiries - EP, Enquiries - Food & Safety, etc. Note: Task Groups may have been edited in TEST through process development, in which case they will not directly match LIVE |
Task |
These are the worksheet types themselves, such as A Lost Dog, Change Food Business Approval, Daycare For Dogs, Noise, etc |
Department |
System Administrators create Department names that worksheets are assigned to. |
