Please note: you will need system admin access in order to do this.

  1. From the ASSURE home page you need to click on the cog and click admin to take you to the system admin access page.
  2. Under the general section you will see a button called DP - Letter Templates.
  3. Once you've opened this it will bring up the list of templates currently in ASSURE, scroll to the bottom of this page and you'll see a button called 'Create Template'. Click on this and enter the details required to create your template in the right place under the right name. Please note: once you have chosen a name for the template this can't be changed, only the description of the template can be edited.
  4. When you have these details entered click ok and it will open another tab with the template settings page, here you need to set up if the template can be stored and edited (this is recommended) you need to specify how the template sends out e.g. print, email. Here you can also pick the sub tab application type, this is how you can get certain sub tabs to pull through into your template, without selecting this they won't be available. When creating a template and testing make sure that its not set to email because in the test or live system this will still go straight to the recipient.
  5. After setting up the template you then need to click the edit template button to open up the NCS Editor and add the templates content, please refer to the how to edit a template solution for more details on this.
