Introduction

If you've signed into your Live Desktop and noticed that your drive mappings have disappeared, you can try this quick solution to see if it resolves the problem. When this occurs, you tend to lose access to old shared drives or your personal OneDrive, preventing you from accessing and saving your work.

Potential Quick Fix

  • Go to your Desktop
  • Open the folder named CBC Applications
  • Run the small executable file named Refresh Drive Letters

  • A small black window should appear that runs a series of background processes to resolve the issue
  • Once closed, you should see your shared drives and OneDrive return
    • This runs the same process that you sometimes see at the bottom-right of the screen when you first remote connect to your Live Desktop

Mapping Missing Drives

If you have drives that were either never mapped or that you need to add, you can check the below article for a detailed guide on setting it up.

Mapping Missing Network Drives

For CBC users this is done automatically.

For CBH users, this is run in the same way, but requires the AD record to be a member of the group ~CBH - All Staff Only. Please ensure that the distribution groups CBH staff are members of this All Staff group.
