To link a FreshService scheduled data export
If you try to link a FreshService scheduled data export and you may get the following message.
If you do you will need to clear the Permissions in PowerBI. Open the Power BI Desktop application, then click on the File menu and select Options and Settings.
Then select Data Source Settings.
Click on the link for freshservice (see below), then click on Clear Permissions. You will see a box to check that you wish to delete the data source, click on Delete.
Then in Power BI Desktop, click on Get Data, choosse Web and paste the API URL from FreshService export report into the URL box as below, then click on OK.
In the next window that displays, click on Basic.
Go into FreshService and go into your Profile Settings – click on icon in top right hand corner. Copy the API key from here and then paste into the User Name field in the Power BI window shown below.
Then click on Connect.
