Introduction
Colchester Borough Council requires all providers to comply with current data protection legislation. This requires organisations to take appropriate technical and organisational measures. Colchester Borough Council will only use Zoom to host public meetings, all other meetings should be conducted using Microsoft Teams. If a third party imposes using Zoom on council staff under contractual clauses, the Council expects the following to be implemented as minimum appropriate technical and organisational measures.
Join a Meeting (CBC Staff)
- The session must not involve any sensitive personal information about service users
- The Zoom Client should not be installed on any CBC devices without authorisation from ICT
- If using the Zoom Client, it must always be updated to the latest version
- You must receive credentials to authenticate into the meeting
- Zoom sessions should not be used within the Win10 Desktop due to security reasons, they should be run from an open weblink
