Introduction


FDM Hi-mail is used for printing from a number of corporate applications. To use this you must already have a Hi-Mail username and password. You can verify that this is correct by attempting to log into the website linked below.


The Hi-Mail username seems to have the service in them ie planning:<username> or ColchesterRevsBens:<username>

Setting up Hi-Mail for Civica


  • Sign in to your Office 365 account
  • Navigate to Cloud Apps
    • This can also be accessed via the waffle in Office 365 and select the option Windows 10
  • Click on the Civica icon as shown below


         


  • The Civica folder now contains a number of additional icons
  • Click on the Printers icon
  • Select Hi-Mail printer
  • Right-click and select Set as Default
  • The printer should then have a green tick


       


  • Close the Printers window
  • Click on the Hi-Mail Test icon
  • You will need to populate the form with the following:


Identifier Your username (<first initial><surname>)
Password Your Hi-Mail password

  • Tick the box for "Keep the password for the next connection"
  • Click on OK


This will then test the connection and should not error, if the Hi-Mail printer is not defaulting it will error. If the username or password is incorrect it will error. 


You should now be good to use Hi-Mail from Civica.



Troubleshooting


If you need to clear or reset the entered username and password details:, perform the following steps:


  • In Cloud Apps, click on the Hi-Mail - Configure icon
  • Tick the "Unsave identifier and password"
  • Click on OK



       



This will wype the saved credentials and enable you to reset them using the Hi-Mail Test icon as per the above instructions.
