Some areas of the Council (LW, MRC, VIC etc) still make use of Virgin Phones , these phones rely on legacy technology called Centrex.


With these phones you are able to place call diverts directly from the handset, these diverts stay in place even if the phone is unplugged or disconnected.




Divert All Calls 


To Activate:

  Dial * 7 0

  Dial the extension number you want to divert to for an Internal divert

                                or

  Dial 9 followed by the number you want to divert to for an external divert

  Listen for confirmation tone

  Replace handset



To Deactivate:

  Dial # 7 0

  Listen for confirmation tone

  Replace handset




Divert When Busy 


To Activate:

  Dial * 9 1

  Dial the extension number you want to divert to for an Internal divert

                                or

  Dial 9 followed by the number you want to divert to for an external divert

  Listen for confirmation tone

  Replace handset



To Deactivate:

  Dial # 9 1

  Listen for confirmation tone

  Replace handset




Divert on No Reply 


To Activate:

  Dial * 9 0

  Dial the extension number you want to divert to for an Internal divert

                                or

  Dial 9 followed by the number you want to divert to for an external divert

  Listen for confirmation tone

  Replace handset



To Deactivate:

  Dial # 9 0

  Listen for confirmation tone
