Introduction
Some good news, we are currently in the process of trialling EE Wi-Fi calling on the standard corporate handset the HTC Desire 530. I envisage that this will be particularly helpful for the staff on the ground floor where mobile phone signal/reception has always been extremely poor.
For anyone with an HTC Desire 530, a setting will need to be enabled on the handset before it can be used.
Wi-Fi Calling Setup
The phone must be connected to CBCWiFi (or any other Wi-Fi network)
Run the Phone application
Hit the Menu button
Select Settings
Under the Enhanced Communications section
Tick Wi-Fi Calling
This should then display a new small phone/WiFi signal icon on the notification bar of the phone.
When making future calls you’ll see the Dial button in the Phone application which is normally labeled CALL will show WIFI CALL.
